SECTORS
Passive flexographic printing systems can be used on extrusion lines, lamination machines, heat sealers, packaging machines, bags, napkins, sacks and many more. Thanks to high-performance closed chambers, they can operate at high speed — tested up to 200 meters per minute, but potentially capable of even higher speeds.
 

MATERIALS
These passive flexographic units can print on many materials such as polyethylene, PVC, non-woven fabric, paper and cardboard… across a wide range of sectors.
 

SIMPLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE
The passive flexo units by De Rossi Vittoriano are simpler and more affordable than our standard flexo units.
The flexo systems equipped with UV LED (or UV) are very easy to manage using a single Control Panel.

The flexo units are simple to use and are supplied complete with ink recirculation pumps and CE-compliant safety systems.
There are different options for ink feeding and recirculation systems, for example Ink pan with discharge tube to return ink to the floor tank (gravity system) OR Monoblock system (Ink Pan + Tank + Pneumatic Pump).

To simplify maintenance and cleaning of the flexo unit, many components are easily removable, including: the closed doctor blade chamber, the printing cylinder, the anilox, the ink pan, and the ink tank.

The flexo module includes a fixing system to be mounted on the customer’s structure, with leveling foot and repositioning handle; it also relies on rollers for easy unlocking and lateral movement.

 

HOW DO THEY WORK?
Passive flexographic units are mechanical (non-electronic) and use clichés to print or varnish in continuous (not in register), using UV LED. The units acquire motion through drive rings that transfer movement directly from the substrate to be printed so no motors are needed. There is also the possibility to make flexo units which can use conventional UV, water-based or solvent-based inks.
Fixed printing repeat length: 500 mm
The usable printing width varies depending on the unit: 50 / 100 / 200 / 300 / 500 mm (it is possible to modify it)
